Miruna is a passionate advocate for translational science, emphasising the synergy between research and entrepreneurship. For the past decade, she has successfully merged her research interests with entrepreneurial pursuits, gaining extensive experience in challenging technical fields such as Biochemical Engineering, Stem Cell Research, Neuroscience, Bone Trauma, Tissue Engineering, 3D Bioprinting, and more. Miruna is currently completing an Industrial Doctorate in Engineering at the University of Birmingham and completed a Biochemical Engineering Fellowship at Harvard University and the Wyss Institute as a Fulbright Scholar.
In parallel, Miruna has actively engaged in entrepreneurial societies, innovation programs, and venture capital, where she assessed and invested in deep tech startups with a focus on Medtech and Life Sciences across Europe. She has held leadership roles supporting tech founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, and investors. Recently, Miruna played a key role in establishing Plug and Play’s health ecosystem in the UK and organised their first health accelerator in the West Midlands further supporting the region. Committed to supporting women in tech, Miruna aspires to make a significant impact in the much-needed FemTech space.
