The Shining Star Award recognises a woman with a sustained and impactful career in technology who continues to excel at a senior level. Open to women with more than 10 years’ experience in a technology role, this award celebrates those who demonstrate excellence, leadership, and long-term contribution to their organisation or business.

This category highlights senior professionals who have delivered multiple projects, lead teams or functions, and consistently add value through their expertise, influence, and commitment to the technology sector.

Eligibility / Minimum Requirements

  • The nominee must have more than 10 years’ experience in a technology career

  • The nominee must currently hold a senior management or leadership role

  • The nominee must have delivered multiple technology-related projects

  • The nominee must identify as a woman working in technology

Judging Criteria

The Shining Star Award recognises a woman with a proven and sustained record of excellence in technology. Judges will assess the nominee’s career achievements, leadership capability, and contribution to delivering multiple successful projects. Consideration will be given to the scale and complexity of the work delivered, the nominee’s influence within their organisation, and their ability to lead teams or drive strategic outcomes. Evidence of consistency, professionalism, and impact over time will be important, alongside examples of how the nominee continues to evolve and excel in a senior role. Judges will also consider the nominee’s wider influence, including mentoring, advocacy, or contribution to developing others in technology. This award celebrates women who continue to shine and lead by example in the tech sector.
